I chose the name C’est la C for this blog because my life involves the letter C in so many random ways.
I thought it would be great to have a spot to document some of the randomness, so the “C” represents lots of things:
-Cunningham: that’s our last name, so easy starting point.
-Creativity: When enough friends say things like “How do you think of this stuff?” over the years, you start to believe that perhaps you’re a little bit creative. But you be the judge!
-Christian: we are part of a terrific small group and also had a Christian dinner group for a while, so there are some memorable things from those days I wanted to share. Plus, Jesus is just cool.
-Christmas: really shouldn’t need explanation, I don’t think
-Cooking…nah, not so much
-Crafty: I’m not a scrapbooker by any stretch, but I figure if you have at least two glue guns and an area of the garage that your husband isn’t allowed to touch with labeled bins full of stuff like floral wire, popsicle sticks and spray paint, crafty should make the list.
My amazing husband, Tom, indulges all the Cs, as you’ll see, from road trip games to finding stuff in the woods for a seasonal fireplace mantle display. So, he’s an enabler of this blog.

Pinterest freak? Yes, I am. .
Hooked on HGTV? You betcha. How else will I know how far the money I don’t have could take me??
Kiddos of my own? Nope, unless you count our uber-adorable poodle mix, Phoebe, and Labradoodle, Maybelline. I also have incredible stepkids and two amazing grandsons, along with super-star nieces who live in Australia.
Work full time? Yessir. Which is why this is the most basic of blogs out there.
