What do you do when you’re trying to sell some stuff for your Mom on Ebay and see an oversaturated market for Wedgwood teacups? You head to Pinterest and look up “upcycled teacups”, of course.
Then, you see all of the super-intricate and adorable Fairy Garden pins. You think to yourself that it can’t be that hard and off you go.
But thinking like a fairy-not as easy as it sounds. And the standard garden was just so done. So, I took the angle of a spa-loving fairy and started putting odds and ends together to bring the zen scene to life.
Nail file = spa table/chair; Gauze rolled up = spa pillow; twig from yard with yarn and craft beads = signage for spa; moss and pebbles = spa floor; clip on earring from the 80s = spa décor.
Simply add a gift card for spa service and/or tea and you are set.
Expert I am not because I loved the final product and was so excited to post it to my Etsy store and Ebay…and then I realized I had absolutely no way to ship it in tact.
So, in the window it sits. But I decided at least blogging on it might give the Zen Garden idea to someone else. And if you have suggestions on shipping, just shoot those over!
